Employment Training Academies (ETA)
ACAP has three youth serving locations throughout Alameda County. Utilizing the Blueprint for Workplace Success curriculum, a publication of the South Bay Workforce Investment Consortium, youth ages 14-24 visit our ETA’s to receive tools and training to become marketable in the workplace. Young people work in a group setting and have the opportunity to engage with both staff and volunteers from specific industries to gain skills giving them a leading advantage in the job market. Annually, over 400 youth receive services throughout our ETA's. Each ETA has a dynamic staff of Youth Advocates and AmeriCorps volunteers serving as Employment and Education readiness facilitators. Also check out the Youth Leadership Council offered at each site as well as the Summer Youth Employment Program.
